Interested in attending a Mission to Haiti in October?
The FUMC Pasadena is preparing for our October 22-30, 2012, Mission Trip to Haiti with several key training events in September.
The team’s next Prep Session covering Cultural Sensitivity and Traveling Abroad will be held on Wednesday, September 12, at 7pm in the Church Lounge. If you are interested in how we are preparing for our journey, please join us!
On September 23 at 4pm, ANYONE who is interested in being trained to work with UMVIM, United Methodist Volunteers in Mission, is invited to attend a special training with Heather Wilson, our Western Jurisdiction UMVIM Trainer.

The Way of Forgiveness
FUMC
Pasadena announces a fall adult education study program utilizing the Marjorie
Thompson's Companions in Christ: The Way of Forgiveness.
Course begins Thursdays, September 13 and
runs through November 15, 2012.
The Way
of Forgiveness uses meditations on scripture, and other spiritual practices, to guide
students through an eight-week exploration of the forgiven and forgiving life.
A unique
feature in The Way of Forgiveness participant’s book is the reproduction of
Rembrandt’s Return of the Prodigal Son which becomes a focal point for
reflection and discovery.
Thompson's
work keeps God's grace and our blessedness before us. Together, we will examine themes on Living in
God's Blessing, Releasing Shame and Guilt, Facing Our Anger, Transforming
Anger, Receiving God's Forgiveness, Forgiving Others, Seeking Reconciliation
and Becoming the Beloved Community.
Learning
materials include Participants book $12, confidential scholarships are
available.

Memorial Day Weekend at Camp Sky Meadows
Mark your calendars and save the dates - Memorial Day Weekend Family Camp is coming!
When: May 25th, 26th and 27th.
We depart Friday, May 25th, at 4:00 pm and return Monday morning on the 27th.
This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get together for fellowship, fun and good food at our wonderful church retreat! Reverend Ken McMillan and his wife Patty will be our pastor in residence for this lovely weekend in the mountains.
This is a great opportunity to share and grow with your church family and spend some time away at beautiful Camp Sky Meadows!
Price for the weekend is still a reasonable $35.00 for adults and $20.00 for children 5 through 17. Children 4 and under are free. Meal prices are a very low $5.00 per meal for all persons 5 and over.
